Day-to-day tasks will need to be carried out in a time-sensitive manner in order to complete scheduled work on time. Work to meet high KPI metrics including OTD and efficiency.

Be able to set up a mold, load plastics, purge machine and install mold bases as needed. Be able to identify molding defects and stop machine as needed until new molding parameters or technique produce good parts. Ensure quality needs are met or exceeded in regards to molding. Help identify if any possible changes on manufacturing instructions are needed.

Do not modify the molding machines unless told to do so. Identify any hazards or potential dangers associated with molding machines. Maintain a clean molding machines, molds and associated equipment and area.

Identify any damage to molds immediately. Always exercise safe practices.

General Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Ensure safe molding practices are always followed
• Ensure molds are taken care of and not damaged or lost
• Identify any problems with molds and or machinery
• Identify problems to appropriate person to resolve in timely manner
• Monitor quality requirements per set quality standards
• Mold parts in an efficient and effective manner work to meet hourly/ daily quotas
• Stay focused on the work at hand
• Maximize efficiency by reducing reworks and scrap
• Ensure documentation (CAPI & MI) is followed
• Responsible for identifying defects and notifying someone to help resolve the issue in a timely manner
• Identify any safety issues immediately
• Focus on continuous improvement of molding processes and practices
• Understand plastics and different molding parameters associated with them.
• Understand functions and components of molding machines

Facility Specific Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Help ensure machines/ molds and equipment are taken care of (keep a clean work area)
• Go with a Lead, Expert or QA when retrieving and returning mold compound to ensure no contamination and /or messes are made
• Report any potential hazards or excessive wear to molding machines
• Be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds unassisted. Beyond this will require the buddy system or lifting device.
• Ability to stay on feet for prolonged periods of time and mobility to get around facility without limitations.
• Achieve daily tasks which require repetitive use of hands and other body parts
• Ability to work in different climates without limitations
• Maintain 7S workstation and control good housekeeping
